Another day of fun and fencing has come to an end. I'm really geting used to the schedule and enjoying myself. The day beginns at 7 when we get up, a good 20 minutes of running in the countryside is what follows at 7.45, after that, breakfast and then off to the training grounds. From 10 to 12.30 we run, do footwork, exercise with balls, do rope-skipping, stretches etc. Back to the hotel for a quick swim and lunch. At 5.30 we hit the pistes and do various exercises and bouts. Today was a good day,we did bouts of 15 hits. I lost 3 bouts and won 3, so I'm very happy :) Most people here have been fencing for 5-6 years.
It sounds odd but I'm so happy to have bruises again! And t's just amazing how much fitter I feel- I never went jogging before in my life. Still I'm not over serious technic issues like keeping my guard up and extending the arm first before lunging... not to mention my knee that every now and then bends inwards making me unstable! grrr
